Jon Brion

Jon Brion is one of those happy discoveries that makes you feel that there is SO MUCH more music out there that you haven’t heard about. He has released two great albums so far in 2004. The most recent one is the score of the movie “I Heart Huckabees“. Earlier in 2004, he released the soundtrack to “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind“. Both are equally impressive works, reminding of Lennon and McCartney more than once, but without ever loosing originality. Once more, I feel like I’ve struck musical gold… YEEEEHAAAWW!!! ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. I randomly wandered onto your site after seeing a review of yours on Amazon (I think it was for Cibella, Sisรฉ, or something like that) and was quite happy to see one of my favorite artists mentioned right away, Jon Brion :)If you really want to be wowed, hunt down Jon’s own full length album called “Meaningless”. His soundtracks are good, but he’s even better with all his own songs on a regular album. I bought my copy at cdbaby.com, as I don’t think he ever released it through a regular label.. so not on Amazon or anything. There are samples you can play at the site, as far as I recall, too.Currently chilling out with the new Bebel Gilberto ๐Ÿ™‚
