This is a personal blog written and edited by Manny Hernandez. This blog does not accept any form of paid topic insertions. However, I will and do accept and keep free products, services, travel, event tickets, and other forms of compensation from companies and organizations, in addition to cash compensation as a result of consulting or speaking engagements.
I am not compensated to provide opinion on products, services, websites and various other topics on this blog or any other web site. The views and opinions expressed on this blog are purely mine. I only endorse products or services that I believe, based on my experience, are worthy of such endorsement. Any product claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer or provider.
In spite of the fact that they do not dictate the content on AskManny.com or any other web site where I write, I would like to disclose the following:
Paid Engagements from Industry and Stock Ownership
In the past 12 months, I have had no paid compensation from Industry for speaking or consulting.
I own stock in the following public companies within the diabetes space: Livongo Health, Abbott Labs, and Tandem Diabetes.
Relevant Product Sponsorship
Up to the end of 2014, I received product and supplies gratis from Animas (a Ping insulin pump with monthly supplies). When it first came out in 2014, I also received a free DexCom G4 receiver, starter kit, and a SHARE. Moving forward, any free product I receive that I write about on this blog, I will disclose within the respective post.
All content on this blog and on other web sites is not reviewed or approved by Animas, DexCom or any other company that provides me with product or supplies as samples or on an ongoing basis. There isn’t anything posted or endorsed on this blog or written by me elsewhere that I don’t fully believe in.
Furthermore, products and supplies that I choose to continue to receive are entirely my personal choices and don’t reflect in any way an endorsement of the product or the manufacturer by my employer.
Questions or concerns about this statement? Please contact me at email@example.com.
Thanks to Kerri Sparling for her advice and allowing me to borrow some of the language on her personal disclosures page.
